Beautiful composition. Wondering if a slight positive exposure compensation would have helped on the details especially around the black areas, as the light seems to have been harsh. Loved the title as well.

There was sidelighting, so naturally you won't get details in the shadow side. Where was this photographed? Recently I was in Satkosia and I found river lapwings. Thanks for sharing.
