    You can post some details about yourself in the Who's Who section.

    While posting images you should post the camera and lens used, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and if you cropped the image etc. That will help us in visualising the situation better and offering you better critiques.

    Where was this photographed?

    The Kingfisher perches on a high point like an electric wire, branch etc and keeps a look out. If you are patient enough then it may fly and catch a lizard, frog or some such prey. It looks like you were virtually below the wire. A lower angle is always better. So is a natural perch.

    Nice first post. A very colourful bird. Presently the bird is turned away from you, it is always good to have them face towards you, that would have enhanced the composition further. Thanks for sharing. Keep posting.
