Default Singing spirit - White Rumped shama male - Merudmilli

    Canon SX60 HS, 1/160, f/6.3, 201 mm, ISO-320. Full Frame.
Clicked in Merudmilli, Eastern Ghats on 8th April, 2016.

The second trip to Maredumilli, 3½ years after the first one, both heralded with serious car breakdown over the hills in dead of the night.
First morning of birding in Jungle, occasionally eyes would dazzle with the color patterns not seen earlier, but mind would insist that this is just fatigue delusions.

Post lunch, went out with family to the rivulets and waterfalls. As evening started approaching, on the way to the jungle, we heard a song emanating from the bushes on the road side. Switched off and sat in the car for some time silently, got convinced that the birds were happy doing long distance talk. Got down, slowly went to the bush and peeped inside. There saw this beautiful bird, singing with abandon, jumping among the twisted twigs, clicked a few images and left discreetly.

With this started our two days of unprecedented bird sightings where we saw far more birds for the first time than in last 8 years put together

Great to know you had an amazing birding trip . Its good you got the bird relatively in clear through the twigs. the white rump is quite clearly visible. Nicely captured. Look forward to more from the trip. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting. Without the curved branch infront, the image would have looked great. The black eye on black head makes it difficult, but in this case the eye is clearly visible. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely image of the gifted avian singer performing. How fortunate you have been to hear the 'rich melody poured out in passionate song', in Krishnan's words. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
