    Taken using EOS 7D and Sigma 150-500 at 500mm in day time handheld.

    bird with all its hues looks very sharp. Nice take. But white patches at the background looks somewhat distracting. thanks for sharing

    Nice shot Ashok, the composition is fine. The closer you are to the subject better it is. Remeber to spot the bird first before he spots you, else he will fly, also you can use hide for bird photography, patience is the key.

    Uma has rightly observed about the bright patches, these are light rays coming in through the branches always give a -ve exposure in this situation and +ve exposure while shooting against sky.

    Nice perch and eye contact. Due to the crop there is some loss of details. I agree with the above comments. You could have also tried to move a bit more to the right to avoid the bright patches in the background. Thanks for sharing.

    Ashok,
    I agree with the previous comments. The eye contact is good.

    Which software are you using for post processing? Details about the amount of crop, along with ISO, shutter speed and aperture will help us in critiquing the image better. The image seems to be stretched a bit. Thanks for sharing.
