    Default Yellow Throated Sparrow

    Canon 50d + Canon 100-400mm
    Shutter : 1/640sec, Aperture : F5.6, ISO -200
    Spot Metered

Shot this completely flat on ground crawling..... so depth of field was very less.

    Kiran,
The image is sharp and lovely. Crawling on the ground gives a eye level perspective. Also, it helps in throwing the background out of focus. This is because, when you are on your belly, then only a small part of the ground appears in the background. The distance between the subject and the background increases and most of the times the background is complete blurred.

If you would not have gone down, then the image would have appeared very cluttered.

Wow. I love the angle... Getting yourself dirty does have its advantages doesn't it?
I love the composition. I feel the stick jutting out in front of the bird adds to the image quite a bit. Also the grain of rice in its mouth gives a feel of its size. The colour theme is also lovely... Is this full frame?

    Hi Kiran,

Beautiful bird and good eye contact. I liked the composition and the snack adds to the image.

    Look forward to more..
