    Canon 50d + Canon 100-400mm
    1/40 F5.6 at ISO 400 -0.3 steps
    Again cropped 50%,was very far, sorry for noise

    Nice one Kiran, who is this and why is he mad?

    No problem about the noise. After all, in the pre-digital era we had to make do with noise, except that we called it grain but even went and bought TMAX 3200 because we wanted as much grain / noise as possible!

    wow...huge fella....am curious too...why is he mad...a tiger photo after a long time...it seemed leopards had taken centrestage..lovely image!!!

    Where was this? Seems pretty irritated.

    Noise will be there in the dark areas. We also get more noise when the image is underexposed and then exposure is increased during post processing.

    I remember the group photo that I had taken of our graduating batch in XIMB. I was using a ISO 400 film. The grains were the size of golf balls. No idea whether Bibhav, Ketaki, Sharad and other members from XIM have noticed it. Considering that it was only 12 years back, the technology has evolved a lot.

    haha. I havent.. but would definitely look it up for the golf ball grains..
