    Nice shot. Looks like the shutter speed was a bit too low for this skittish little bird. Lovely colours and eye contact. The distinctly curved beak is well documented, and the flick of the tongue is a bonus.

    Nice image. they are skittish as abhishek says and not easy to freze. you have done well here. do you have a frontal shot ?. the breast band of the male is lovely a sight....

    These birds have a long tongue and that is documented here. How big is the crop?

    I agree with the previous comments. The best way to click these birds is to stand near a flowering plant and then wait for them to come close.

    Mr. Patra I have not cropped it!! This is an uncroped image!! I have clicked this fellas in various angles!! But what I found attracting was it back end of the neck!!! The color is so good !! I clicked it at a very close range near my Grannys house!! Look to live with my granny!!! I have documented more than 25 different species near my grannys house !
