Nice image of Nilgai calves. Charming innocent look. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
Nice cute ones. Mammal image from you after a long time .
I remember when I used to stay in Gurgaon, just behind my office there was an open area with some vegetation. I used to see Nilgais grazing there frequently.Encroachments into forest land has made them bold and they come really close to human contact. Thanks for sharing.
Nice to see them. When was this clicked? Somebody told me that Sultanpur is now closed? Can you confirm?
Nilgai's often remain on the outskirts of the forests. They are not poached as their meat is not supposed to be tasty. Their skin is also not supposed to be good. And in some parts, due to them having them word "gai" in their name, they are also treated like a cow and no harm is caused. However, farmers are known to ward them off by throwing stones etc.
