    NIKON P500, 1/160s, 144mm(last optical zoom), f/5.7, 200

    PHOTO TAKEN AT :- KHENTALO, CUTTACK, ODISHA
    IN VERY DIFFICULT POSITION I TOOK THIS PHOTOGRAPH, THE TREE WAS BIG. THE BRANCHES ARE MORE, I WAS NOT GETTING RIGHT ANGLE AND TWO WOODPECKER WERE JUMPING FROM ONE BRANCH TO ANOTHER BRANCH.THIS IS MAY BE FOR ME RIGHT SHOT WHICH I AM SHARING WITH U.

    Quite difficult conditions to photograph. You got it nicely through the branches. Wish the angle was less steep. Maybe sitting with a hide would help to get them closer. Thanks for sharing.

    You need to wait for the bird to come down the canopy onto the tree trunk. If you wait for an hour or two and keep an eye on the bird your chances of getting it in better light and closer distance will be better. Wildlife photography is not just chasing the animal or bird, but also to wait for it to make an appearance at the right spot.
