Lovely eye contact. The b/w treatment looks nice. There is some noise in the eyes due to the crop. Nice composition. Where was this photographed? Thanks for sharing.

the texture of the pupil appears to be noise in a bw image

Cropping and sharpening makes it more noisy. Except the centre portion with the head, rest all has been blurred. That has resulted in the ear tips blurred. Using a shallow aperture like f5.6 would have resulted in less depth of field and would have served better for this kind of composition.

Since this image is clicked at 280mm, zooming in to use the entire 400mm of your lens, would have been better as that means less amount of crop to create a similar composition. Thanks for sharing.
