Loved the head turn and the eye contact. Agree with Roopak. The grass blades on the foreground possibly add to the softness of the image.

I think there is subject movement so it is soft. Despite the high resolution of the cameras, good lenses along with technique, shutter speed, support etc are required to get the actual resolution. If you are shooting through vegetation, then that will also impact the resolution. Without one or the more of these factors, when you crop, the image will not have enough resolution.
