    Hi Neil,

    There seems to be a fall off in IQ as well as shapness. This could be because of the shutter speed, the lens, or because of PP. It would help if you shared details of the camera and lens, and also your PP workflow.

    Canon 350D Sigma 70-300 APO DG
    My lens is considerably soft after 200mm

    I suggest you pull the whites a bit and try another round of sharpening. LOve the expression on her face.

    Neil,
    Is this a cropped image or full frame? A higher shutter speed would have been better in capturing the snarl. However, the light seems to be low and the low light capabilities of the 350D is not that good. It would have been better to have the full body. Normally I would crop the arms/legs only at the joints.
