Brilliant composure.
I guess the light was good and the SS was quite high as well for the sharpness is great.
Beautiful image

Great beautiful shot Mrudul.
Furs plumage and Eye are fetching all the attention.
Thanks & Regards

The breeding plumage looks nice. The fellow in the background doesn't distract. However, the branch behind the beak becomes prominent because of the other bird.
The exif says you used 250 mm and shutter speed 1/640 seconds. I am still thinking whether a shorter focal length would be better.

Hi Mrudul,
Lovely shot... The red eyes are looking great. Agree with sabyasachi about zooming out a bit...
My...My...Mrudul...This is excellent capture. leaves at FG complements the plumage
Lovely shot Mrudul....the red eye looks amazing.. just wondering if you could pull back highlights little bit...also some space would have better....otherwise gr8 image
Thanks all for the comments.
I agree a bit more space would have been better. I was shooting from the boat and it was quite near the bird, so with my 100-400 lens, I was not able to zoom out further and it was quite difficult to focus with the boat moving. Just managed .

I quite like the inclusion of the other bird in the bg, which is facing the opposite direction. Gives an idea about the bird's gregarious habits. Agree about the space, otherwise an attention grabbing image.
