This was clicked during afternoon safari on 15th June 2013 @ 6.00 PM, just before hitting the main road.

The weather was such anyone can fell asleep..

Tightly cropped (60% shaved off). Subject was around 200+ mtrs away

Nice pose. This required minimum 800mm focal length. When the subject is at a distance, it helps if the shot is taken with a beanbag, monopod or some other support.

In digital the ISO is nothing but the amplification of the signal to various degrees. When the base signal is good, as is the case with higher end 1 series cameras, the amplification results in comparatively less noise. So ISO 4000 in a 60D vis a vis a 1 series or 5DIII camera will be high and hence less details will be revealed due to the noise.

It looks very relaxed in the cool rainy weather. Specially I liked the way it is resting its head in the 'V' of the small branch . Wish it was closer. Thanks for sharing.

Mostly will be going for 5D Mark III very soon..I will miss the crop factor but if i crop the image clicking with 5D Mark III may turnout with better quality.. Whats your view?

The high ISO in 5D Mark III is definitely better. So you will see details better. The auto focus accuracy and speed is also much better. So the normal images will be good. However, for situations like these where the subject is so far off, it is better to be attempted with longer teles.
