This small beauty was foraging while I was tracking a Himalayan woodpecker. Was lucky to get a shot of it in good light with a seed in its beak.

Nice, rare image. Nice composition. It appears to me as a Male Chestnut-bellied Nuthatch (Sitta castanea). A tiny beauty of lower Himalaya. It gives audience only to those who have purified soul. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
P.S: If you ( or any other member) have the photograph of Grey-winged Blackbird, Great Salim Ali's favourite songbird, kindly post it. I have heard the liquid melody of White-rumped Shama, Great Krishnan's favourite songbird.

Nice sighting of this rare bird. The patterns on the bark are nice. Seems the light was quite low. Using a higher ISO would have helped to get more sharpness. Thanks for sharing.

Nicely spotted. The mountains are birders paradise. One never knows who will turn up. Good to see the bird with food in its beak. Thanks for sharing.
Kaustuv,
Nice to see this species. I am not sure how pangot is after the recent landslides. Any info?
Cheers,
