    Default Leopard | Kabini | Sep 2013

    Leopard | Kabini
This beautiful male Leopard gave us a wonderful 1 hr sighting where he slept, yawned and then started sawing at what was most probably a female Leopard below his perch. A high-ISO low light image and was very surprised that the 7D could throw up so little noise at ISO 3200
    Exif: ISO 3200, 1/125 s, f4
    Eq used: Canon 7D, 300mm f4 IS

Nice image. Nice composition. The long tail of leopard adds beauty to the image. The head seems to be a little smaller. Colours have come out well. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Lovely environmental composition. Nice head turn and eye contact. Could you sight and photograph the female leopard also? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul...sadly, it was late by the time the male started the sawing call looking down at something. We had to leave immediately after the continuous sawing call

Loved the composition and colors. Good details even at a low SS. Did you use a support for stability in any form (Tripod, Bean Bag et all) or was it hand held ?

    Thanks for sharing

Thanks Rajan. I always use a bean bag where ever possible. But am not sure whether I used one here. Difficult to remember for this particular one

Shooting a leopard on a tree in Kabini is always challenging due to the distance and the low light. It is always nice to see a leopard for a long time. Thanks for sharing.
