Default Bharal or Himalayan blue sheep

Photographed in Hemis National Park at Ladakh( Rumbak Valley). It was almost dark at around 4.30 in the evening we were sitting in one place scanning for snow leopard and in our opposite mountain we saw group of Bharals moving and grazing, since this is mating season for Bharals, one male Bharal started chasing one of the female and chased for very long distance dissapeared from our sight.
Here these are also so Camouflage that unless the white stripes on their legs its very difficult to make out in the mountains.

Nice sighting. They can be very difficult to spot on the rocky mountains. Why f10? I think a slight wider aperture would have sufficed here and helped to get more shutter speed. Thanks for sharing.

No doubt such a distinctive image of a herd of Bharals, both male and female, some patently pregnant; grazing on open slope of the Himalaya is a prized catch and rarely seen.
Wish you may examine why such blue hue has interfered with the mammal's colour and this immensely natural setting which would have made G. B.Schaller jump with joy. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Not sure if the blues are because of the fading light, could be. The habitat is nicely portrayed here and so is the action of 'rappelling' down the slopes. Thanks for sharing.

    Sucheth,
Nice sighting. I agree with Shatipadaji about the blues. One can see that the white's have also become blue. While processing that needs to be kept in mind. Normally in cold environment the areas in shade will have a slight blue cast. When you increase the contrast and saturation the blue's become very very prominent. It is very important to showcase the original colours, else the image suffers. Since you are shooting in raw, the colour temperature can be changed and the colour cast removed. Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers,
