Elephants in b/w

This photograph I took in Bandipur last year. I found it while searching thorugh the images. I processed it in b/w to give a different look. It was a big herd and I had tried a lot of compositions including horizontal.

That is a nice image. I like the cental elephant in focus. the road curve looks good too. i would pump up the contrast a bit more...

The black and white rendition looks nice. I agree that a contrast boost would look better.

Agree with the comments. For a black and white image to work there must be a range of tones. Here there is only one tone giving the image a flat look. You need to work more with this image.
