    Post Malabar Grey Hornbill

Used the digital zoom to get a tighter shot, pardon the noise.

Please avoid the digital zoom. Digital zoom is akin to a photo taken by the camera and then cropped a portion of the photo for you. It is better to crop it yourself in the computer than use the digital zoom. Pl avoid it if you want better images.

Rather than trying for tight crops in a digital zoom, it would be better to create an environmental portrait of the subject. Environmental portraits are relatively more difficult to create.

I agree this image would have been better within the optical zoom range. Please refrain from using digital zoom, it ruins the quality. It is easier to shoot and then crop to whatever compo you want. You could try despeckling to reduce the visible noise... don't know how effective this will be though.

I agree with the comments already posted. Including some enviornment adds to the photograph, so you dont have to try to get a tight close-up. Have you taken any pics without the digital zoom?
