Default The prey-er in a cosy hideout

Spotted it taken shelter inside a garden flower and awaiting for some prey, alerted by my presence it moved itself deeper into the flower trying to avoid any risk.

Nice behavior captured. I liked the way it is hiding in the center. Is the AF point in the center, on its mouth? I think using a higher ISO and a further narrower aperture would have helped to get more details in the eye. Thanks for sharing.

This is actually almost a full frame image, when I checked the photograph in full zoom(full sized) the eye's details are captured very well, but with this frame, something I wanted as a composition, the details of the eyes are not that clearly visible.
Also I did think of going higher on ISO and reduce the flash output, but I generally find some noticeable noise in the frame, so kept it safe at 200.
Shall check if i get this beauty again in the same area to try higher DOF.

Nice. once the eyes come into sharper focus the effect is much more. a nice subject and well composed.
