Works for me Sabyasachi, because it has an air of mystery about it, a sense of entering a private world.

Adds a mysterious feel to it. would have liked a bit more saturation to bring the greens in the eye...
Agree about the mysterious feel. To me it feels like you've " just crawled over a mound and discovered you're face to face with a tiger."
I did some random tweaking with the levels, saturation, curves and sharpening.
Do "CRITIQUE" my repost, because I'm just beginning to get the hang of Photoshop.

Liked the composition. Would have liked it a bit higher in the frame, to get the full view of the face. The eye says it all.
Nice repost. It does bring out the colours and gives the effect of the light.
