Great details. Sambar kid - ears raised, white hairs inside prominent. In Kaziranga, sambar are not in large numbers.

The tall reeds give a unique background to the alert and curious sambhar kid. Nice to see the sambhar against a unique setting .Thanks for sharing.
I remember this was a quick sighting. In Kaziranga, given that there are different large herbivores like elephants, wild buffalo and rhino which can charge at you, one always feels that there is something lurking close by. It becomes pretty enjoyable watching an animal in this large place.
