    Default Surveying its territory

    Haliastur indus.

The same immature brahminy kite as in my previous image. I moved in slightly ahead to get a better light angle when I felt that the bird was comfortable. Unfortunately, I could not explore all the angles.

The brilliant plumage of the juvenile brahminy kites often confuse us. One can be sure after a closer look at the nose.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 200, f8, 1/250, full frame image.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Lovely. Liked the composition. Including more of the mounds has given a different look to the image. Liked the ruffled feathers. Sharp.

Nice Image Sabyasachi, the image is sharp, has good details, liked the head turn and ofcourse the sparkle in eye. I liked this image than the one posted yesterday.

Nice one. I too like the use of more of the perch. Gives a feeling of height and it being on the lookout. Surveying its territory is an apt title...
