    Seemed to have fed well and was lying on submerged grass with its head sticking out.

    A nice attempt. The composition might have looked better, had you placed the head in the top right quadrant. A suggestion

    Nice image. Were you able to photograph it with a bit more eye contact? A higher depth of field would have been good to get the body in focus as well, but the shutter speed was quite low. Do post the equipment details also. Thanks for sharing.

    Please post your camera, lens, shutter speed, aperure, ISO, crop details for better critiquing. Also, you can upload images at 800 pixels on the longest side. That would also help in critiquing better.

    Where was this photographed? There is some magenta in this image, not sure why.

    I like this image. The low angle looks great. The body gradually leads the into the frame, to the head. The body in focus would have been even better.
    Do post images with more eye contact if you have any.
