Wow, that's an incredible find... These are Tessaratomid Bug nymphs. They're not very common.

Don't know much about them myself, I haven't seen them either. . The ones in Hari's photograph are nymphs (young ones), they don't have wings. If I'm not mistaken, the particular species in this photograph is endemic to the western ghats. They are seen during the monsoons. They are part of a large family commonly called the Shield Bugs (Stink Bugs).
Still waiting to see these... Maybe next monsoon
