    Default Rim Lighting...

Shot this in the Evening today in the outskirts of Cuttack. Wanted rim lighting in the tall grass. Have cloned out lens flare due to pointing the lens directly at the sun. Wish the electric pole were absent. (No. I did not want to clone it )

    Nikon D80 @ 135mm
    SS 1/250 (set manually)
    F 10
    ISO 200

PS: Processed in Lightroom 2.6 and borders + Flare cloning in Photoshop CS3

I agree, Subramanya. Tried reducing highlights, but it looked unnatural, so let it be. Will try at still softer lighting again.

The grass looks nice. I like the idea. However, I think it would have been good if you could have either moved around to get a location without the electric poles, or if you could have just moved in closer and photographed only the grasses. Try shielding the lens with a cap or umbrella. Then no cloning will be required.

Nice attempt. The colours are lovely. I agree with Sabyasachi's idea of moving in closer to the grass.

Nice composition. The rim lighting is nice. Nice colours. Lot of landscapes are spoiled because of the the poles. Thanks for sharing.
