Default First shot with my 300 F4 L IS

Sharing my first images from my new gear.
This lens is one heck of a gem. AF is damn quick, sharpness is amazing, and operation is quiet.
I took it out today for testing and it has shown how outstanding it is. Sharing a full frame image I took today. I love the background blur: Very smooth. And the sharpness speaks for itself.
Also the performance of the 1000D at ISO 400 is pretty good and way better than my previous D80

Canon EOS 1000D, EF 300mm F4L IS USM (Full Frame)
    SS 1/200
    F 8
    ISO 400

    Comments and Critiques Welcome
Self Critique: Wish I got a natural perch. (But had gone out today for testing the lens and wanted to gauge the performance, hence took this shot).
More from this series coming up.

FYI: This is a Streak Throated Swallow.

    Congrats on the new gear.

Nice image. The BG is nice and clean. Wish the iron bar was not blocking the bird. The streched out wings are nice. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck on your new gear. If you can move in close with this lens, then the results you get is pretty good. Background is clean.

    Cheers,

Congratulations Bibhav for the new equipment, I am sure we will see some wonderful images from you.

The image posted is nice, clean bg and I liked the wings spread. A natural perch would have been stunning. Looking forward to more

    Congrats on your new gear!
Great shot. Lovely balanced compo, not to mention the beautiful pose. Some parts of the image are slightly OOF, is that because you were very close?

Taking into account your stalking skills , we can look forward to more stunning images...
