The muscular trunk and head show this is a Makhna. The composition is nice. I might have preferred more DOF. Thanks for sharing.

I wish it was a tusker...
The elephant is rubust in built and the torn ears is the testimonial of an aged elephant..
Makhnas are now often encountered than the tuskers - a worrysome fact.
Tuskers need protection.
The wet look gives a nice feel to the image. The curled trunk enhances the image further. The splash of water is good. A higher aperture would have been better. Thanks for sharing.

Nice iamge. One can easily see the physical difference. No idea why we see more Makhna's these days.
