Lovely behaviour captured. The raised paw shows movement. Wish the light was on the front portion of the tiger as well. A higher depth of field would have enhanced the image further. Thanks for sharing.

Nice low angle. Though the Sambar is not visible, we can know its intentions. It would have been great if you could get a side on stalking pose. Did it succeed?

    Cheers,

    Dear Sabyasachi da,
This being the collared tigress T17, all frontal and side on pictures are marred by the hideous collar and its dangling antenna. It left me no option but to photograph her from the rear. The sambhar was lucky, it made a clean break into the water and escaped.

I like the pose and composition. Would have been better if you had any OOF prey in the background.
    Thanks for sharing.

Very good photo, Dipankar. A little more light in the front would have been better. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic shot. Love the raised paw. I would have preferred a deeper depth of field. Thanks for sharing.

The photo is simply superb. The taut muscles in the back thigh and the peculiar bend of the front leg suggest that the slow crawl is over and the final charge is about to happen
All beautifully captured in one frame....
