Pied Bushchat Female

HI all,

This bushchat female was taken in late Dec 2009 but I processed it some time in Jan. techs were Canon 7D, 300/f4 IS + 1.4x TC. f 6.3 fill flash @ -1.7ev (I hope i remember correctly), iso 400. taken hand held. Cropped from all sides a little. C & C are most welcome.

I like the composition and the eye contact. The details in the plumage are nice. I can see the fill flash in the eye. The sidelighting is good and the shadows side has been exposed well. Thanks for sharing.

Cute bird. The background has come well. Composition is nice. Slightly lower fill flash would have been even better. Overall a nice image. Look forward to more.

HI All,

Thanks for commenting. My tiny pop up flash becomes effect less if pushed lower after certain distance. I have one with lower flash and with out flash too, but I like this one over them.
