This I spotted at Mudumalai.There are only 2 trees in Mudumalai where bees seem to construct beehives.Probably there are around 15000 bees in this hive....

Nice capture. The light seems harsh. Toning down the highlights would be good. Thanks for sharing.
I agree that the light conditions were tough. However, that should not deter us from photographing as certain photos can serve as records.
During processing, lowering the contrast and pulling up the shadows will help.

Mohan;Good question.How do you count the number of bees.I remember watching a programme on Discovery were the narrator said that a 4feet by 3feet hive accomodates around 15000 bees.This beehive is of the same dimension.
