    Default Jungle Fowl

This is from Bandipur Tiger Reserve.

It was a winter morning and there was lot of fog.

Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, ISO 800, f4.5, 1/800, full frame, handheld.

I am very happy that even though there was a leaf directly inbetween the camera and the bird, the AF never had any issues.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Nice capture! the thing I like about Bandipur is either the jungle fowls or the peacocks are always around on the trees and give great shooting opportunities

Nice perch and colours. I liked the calling pose. The details are nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. The composition is nice. Even though the background is busy, it doesn't distract much. Thanks for sharing.

    Nikhilesh,
This is only the second time I have seen a jungle fowl on tree. For peacocks it is a normal thing to be on a tree.

    Cheers,

Nice image, like the calling pose. Peacocks on trees are quite common sight at Bandipur. We see plenty of jungle fowls but it is a rare sight to see them on a tree. Great capture.
