    This is the same Calotes posted by Praveen earlier, which we photographed near Bannerghatta on the way back.

    Canon 50D, 100-400mm L IS USM, ISO 200, f8, 1/500, hand held

    I like the details on the head. Good that you got its head in the clear. I dont mind the clipped tail as including it would have meant that the head be smaller in the frame. Wish the branch just behind the head were absent. Thanks for sharing.

    I agree with Bibhav. These fellows have long tails. Unless the tail is coiled, including it in the frame would make the head very small. Nice image. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks all for the comments.

    Abhishek, I did try to zoom out to include its tail, I have some images with that composition. But as Bibhav and Sabysachi has pointed out the head appears smaller and still one more thing is, the tail was not fully visible in the thick vegetation. So didn't post that image.
