    Default Purple Moorhen

Shot this today in the rains in Kukkarahalli lake. Had a long long disappointing day at work. So decided to go to the lake to up my mood. And turned out that it started pouring. I put on a raincoat nonetheless and the AW cover on my Lowepro (So thankful for that). And in the rains, suddenly, the sky opened up and peered through it beautiful evening light. This was shot then.
    My mood was surely Upped!!!

I consider this my best shot of this species till date.
It was standing on a boat preening itself. I preferred to cut off the legs as including it was making the frame too tight.

    This is full frame.

Wow, lovely. Beautiful BG. Nice pose. Love the eye. A very intimate image.
What is the green hue near the legs? OOF vegetation?

The eye contact and the pose is good. The background is nicely diffused. The low angle is also nice. I wish the feet were not cut. EV:-1/3 would have been good. Do you have vertical?

The ruffled feathers and the colours looks nice. The background has come out nicely. Including the legs would have enhanced the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

I think you need to include the legs, agree with Sabyasachi regarding the exposure.

Lovely image Bibhav, the bg is nicely diffused. I like the colors as well, agree about including the legs but this is definitely the BEST.
