I like the idea. More space at the bottom would have been nice. You can use the focus recompose technique. Half press the shuttter button to lock focus and then more the camera to compose and then click.
The cattle egret look good in breeding plumage.

The golden plumes of this bird in breeding season were part of high fashion attire back in the olden days.I have heard the egret used to be commercially farmed for the plumes in around rajasthan.

Nice behaviour captured. I agree some more space at the bottom to include the legs in full would be good. The details and the colours are nice. The low angle ehances the composition. Thanks for sharing.
