    The habitat looks good. The mountains in the background are nice. Its good you got it looking towards you. Thanks for sharing.

    Roopak,
    I wanted the Blackbuck to stand out, hence I chose a shallow DOF. narrowing down further would have brought the background more in focus, I agree, but would not have made the Blackbuck pop. I liked the way the mountains were diffused. Just to be on the safer side, I also clicked images at f/10 and more with similar compositions. I liked the ones with f/5 better.

    The 300mm f4 IS lens works great at f4.

    In this image, the tree takes away attention. Without the tree on the right side, the image would have been strengthened. f10 would have given you good depth of field as well as good enough shutter speed. Thanks for sharing.

    Birding is good. We found Tawny Eagles as well as other small shrub birds.
