    ok ... this is my first upload ... am a beginner .... id like to thank Mr. Bibhav Behera ... who guided me and let me accompany him in his ventures . This beautiful creature was found in Karanji lake in Mysore .

    cam : Nikon L110 ( 15x compact camera )
    shutter speed : 1/200 sec
    Lens aperture : F/5.4
    ISO 80

    The vertical composition is nice. Some more space at the bottom than at the top would be good. The eye contact is nice. Look forward to more from Karanji Lake. Thanks for sharing.

    The colours look nice to me. The bird is framed well between the branches. A slight more head turn towards you would have made a more intimate connect with the image. Agree with Mrudul that some more space at the bottom along with placement of the subject in the right half would be good. Good job with a Point and Shoot camera.
    Good to see you posting. Keep posting and analysing the critiques and you will be able to pick up fast.

    Agree with the comments. The saturation is a bit high. That is why the sky appears to be so blue.
