The eye contact is nice. The background is well diffused. Is this a big crop? More details on the bird would have been good. The 100-400 mm lens is good when you are closer to the subject and the need for cropping is less. Some more space at the bottom would have been good as you have cropped from bottom and the leaves have been cropped and don't appear to be connected to the stem.

I like the eye contact. I agree that you should have included the fork of the perch and the leaf. Some more sharpness would have been good. Thanks for sharing.
