The details in the image has come out well. With your 500 mm, now you can be close enough to capture each body part.
I am thinking if you could have moved a bit to the left, then you could have got a different composition with the eye moving in a circular fashion from the tail through the ridge line and then to the head. With the super teles one gets to click closeups and the composition decisions are instantaneous. Keep on clicking, and soon you will have some nice and unique compositions.
