    Default Future of the Sholas?

Are plantations and estates the future of the Western Ghats?
These sceneries are definitely nice to see but they only show the imprint of man, where it should not have been.

Nice patterns. It is unfortunate that people look at this greenery and feel it is great. Unfortunately, these plantations have come out in the place of Shola forests that had taken thousands of years to reach that state of evolution. And we take a few days to destroy vast patches of those shola forests.

Nice composition. The patterns look good. The clouds add to the image. The plantations look good, but people dont realise that it has destroyed the original habitat of the place. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image and message Bibhav. Agree that the tragedy is lost out on most people me included if not for the title.

There was some concrete action in kerela to regain EFL occupied by private parties. Although mired in political controversy the move was in the right direction considering the extent of Illegal occupation. I guess that has more or less fizzed out and is now lost in the labyrinth of our lethargic legal system.
