    Default Evening Hangout

Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, Dandeli. Had no choice but to shoot against very harsh afternoon light, so I decided to shoot it as a silhouette.

Camera Model Name Canon PowerShot SX10 IS
    Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE
    Tv (Shutter Speed) 1/250
    Av (Aperture Value) 5.7
    Exposure Compensation +1 1/3
    ISO Speed 100
Cropped for composition, converted to B&W.

    Thanks, C&C welcome.

Slightly more crop from the right would help in removing the hint of the branch at the right frame. I agree that at times one can look at silhouette in such conditions. The trick is to look for elements like branches that can enhance the composition. Thanks for sharing.

The perch and the inverted bird is interesting. It is good that you tried a silhouette. You can crop just a bit from the top to start from the curved branch from the right. Look forward to more.
