    Default Malabar Whistling-thrush

One of the most beautiful songsters of our jungles. Some of the notes will actually make you look around to see if someone is whistling. Can be found close to water bodies in wooded areas. Get him in the right sunshine to see its real iridescent beauty.

    Clicked in Amboli with EOS 7D, 400mm f/5.6L @ f/6.3, 1/400, ISO 800. C&C most welcome!

Oh, this a beauty. Lucky to have got it in open. During my stay at Club Mahindra Resort at Coorg few months ago I heard this bird singling everyday early morning but could not photograph. It has a high pitch and long whistle.

Nice. I like the exposure here. Not an easy bird to photograph.

Lovely details and eye contact. The low angle adds to the composition. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing the information. Look forward to more.

I agree. This is a beautiful bird. The right kind of lighting will bring out the details. Thanks for sharing.
