    Default Pelican taking off

This one appears to be standing on its nails. Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary, AP.

I am surprised by the lack of any wake or splash of this Pelican taking off. Great timing and excellent capture. Love the details of the two wings, especially the right wing. Is that a twig right underneath its rear?

Good lesson for me in terms of apt use of shutter speed and ISO for these freeze shots.

Pause button? I never thought about it. Good imagination.
