    Default Green Bee Eater

    I am facing MTNL Combo internet problem hence could not post during last fifteen days. Hope it will be solved very soon. At present I am using my friend's PC and Internet.
    This was taken at Jalgaon during Pakshi Mitra Sammelan.18Th Dec 2010
    Canon 7D, Focal Length 400 mm,AV 4.0,Shutter sped 1/1600, cropped twice to remove tree branches on the left of the frame.

    I hope your internet connection issues will be sorted out soon.

    Did you crop and save the jpeg image twice? The more number of times you save a jpeg image, the more the quality drops. It is always best to shoot in RAW and then convert to jpeg for image uploading.

    These bee-eaters are beautiful birds. It is always better to identify a perch where they visit regularly and wait for them to come there. I think you have pointed the lens upwards. In those situations, It is better to use a positive exposure compensation since you were shooting in Av mode and the bird was small in the frame with the sky being bright. That would help with the exposure.

    Which lens did you use? Canon 400mm f4 DO?

    Image appears very soft to me.Bit more head turn towards you would have been good.TFS
