Nice eye contact. Wish you had better light. Did you run any noise reduction?

Some information about the bird from Birds of South Asia, The Ripley Guide by Pamela C. Rasmussen and John C. Anderton

A trim, rather small, bright olive-yellow bulbul with yellow brow and orbital region offsetting large dark eye and slightly curved black bill; underparts wholly yellow, tail unmarked. Sexes similar. Juvenile slightly duller and browner above, with paler bill and very pointed rectrices.

Variation: Paler in N W Ghats icterica;farther south, nominate is more richly coloured, and in SW SL, guglielmi is greener overall; species sometimes considered monotypic.

Occurs: Resident in W Ghats from C Maharashtra south, SE Ghats and Sri Lanka (mainly wet and intermediate zones). Common; low hills to 2000m (optimum c.1000m) in sholas, evergreen forest edge, secondary forest, coffee shade, undergrowth and occasionally gardens.

Habits: Rather unobtrusive; in pairs and small parties, often forming the nucleus of bird waves. Eats mostly fruit, also seeds and invertebrates, latter often taken along lateral branches and in tops of saplings, or in short sallies. Breeds chiefly Jan-May, extending to SEp; nest a flimsy cup of green moss bound with cobweb and lined with rootlets, slung in horizontal fork low in sapling or shrub.

Lovely colour. The eye contact is nice. It is good you got this one on a natural perch. Thanks for sharing.

    Praveen,
Lot of people used to use Neat Image. One can selectively run noise reduction on the background.

However, the Lightroom 3.3 is good and has good noise reduction features. However, one has to see how much details to keep and how much to sacrifice as noise reduction results in decrease in details. Over sharpening after noise reduction, results in sharpening artifacts which can be mistaken for details when viewed in a small size.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
