Pond Heron in breeding plummage
Photographed this one in last may in Bandhavgarh National Park.
Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 500, f5.6, 1/30 sec. Bean bag. full frame. This is the only shot that I got sharp in the eye. Rest all were lacking in definition due to the low shutter speed. Look forward to your comments.

Lovely image Sabyasachi. You almost always are able to shoot these at eye level. Love it.
