    Took this shot last year in Neelapattu.

    Canon EOS 350D,100-400mm lens,5.6, ISO 100,1/640

    It looks like swimming in sea. Gives a different feel. The beak is a bit bright. I would be happy with a bit of highlight recovery.

    The wake of the pelican is peculiar. Compared to the bird, the wake looks huge. I can imagine, this image was created seconds after it landed. On the whole, the wake does give character to the image.

    Not sure if you share my views, but the image looks harsh. It also looks a bit extra sharp to me.

    Wow! What a beautiful shot! Superb composition. Liked the reflection of the bird in the water. Just wish the reflection had been captured in full.

    Great Picture, the waves pattern formed by the landing is very distinct.
    The Bird seem to be smiling for the camera
