Buying Canon 7D & Canon 100-400mm- Help

Hi Friends,

Being no much exposure to SLRs (Played a lot on PnS )

Now I have decided to purchase Canon 7D and 100-400mm L-lens.


Can you please individually contribute your views / buying suggestions etc.

Also if anybody knows current costing, would be great.

Also which precautions to be taken while buying, any hands-on checks ?

A great combination! Good for mammals and large birds.

Are you buying new or second hand?

100-400 costs about 81K + rupees with bill.

If you buy from a reputed place, the camera and lens should be in packed condition. It should not have fungus. Anyway, the camera and lens when bought with bill will have warranty.

I have decided to go for 7D Body, 18-135 mm IS and 100-400 mm.

All getting with warranty & bill.
