    Default Sambar in water

I had created this image in Bandhavgarh National Park last year.

    Canon EOS 40D, Canon EF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM, EF 1.4xII, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/800 sec, full frame.

    Look forward to your comments.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Love the way the fur on the neck has been lit, also love the grass in the front. But would have really loved a head turn towards the viewer/towards the animal's front. I know this is a full frame, so you can't do anything about the lack of space behind now, but a crop lessening the space below the animal will look nice.

In photography, eye contact is most important. Without the eyes the body appears lifeless. In very few cases, an image succeeds with the animal looking at the other direction. However, in this case, I was knowingly trying to break this cardinal rule. I think I need to keep on trying.
