You got the eye nicely through the vegetation. The light on the eye increases the impact. Thinking adding a bit more space from the left to the right to include some more of the tiger would have enhanced the composition further. Wish the chainlink fencing was not present. Thanks for sharing.

    Dipankar,
I can imagine your frustration. A tiger kill with the fence in the background makes takes away that feeling of wilderness. With the Sambar visible, one can still make out that it is wild. If only a few scraps of meat were visible, then it would have appeared like a scene from any zoo.

You have been able to focus and get the head clear. That helps. It would have been superb if the fence were not there. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Wow! this is rare capture Dipankar, nothing much can been done about the fencing. As mentioned by Sabyasachi since the kill is sambar, it is definitely a wild moment captured. The eye contact and the expression is nice.

Along with Dipankar, there were photographers in 10-12 gypies who were utterly excited to witness the stalk and successful kill, at the same time utterly disappointed to get the fence in the foreground (the Tiger was hunting on the other side of the fence).
The Tiger cleverly attacked the sambhar from the left and pushed it towards the fence, where it got stuck. So the fence played a crucial part in the kill :-)

Good capture Dipankar. No one could (or would) have done any better given the situation.

One of the people in the 10-12 gypies to witness the hunt :-)
